Your brain runs a move almost the same way whether you do it or vividly picture it. Short eyes-closed reps — five to fifteen seconds, many of them — count as practice. Two rules make it work:

One move only. Pick before you start. Your best turn, a first touch out of the air, the left-foot pass. A move you can already do. Rehearsal sharpens what’s there. It can’t install what isn’t — that’s for the pitch.

Sit or stand, somewhere quiet. Eyes closed on the closed steps; the voice runs you through:

Make it real inside: the weight of the ball, the sound, where your feet are. When the timer says add the defender, feel the pressure arrive — and beat it the way you actually do.

progression. three to five short sessions a week beats one long one. rotate the move weekly. before a match, run the move you’ll need most that day.
