The fastest way back to calm. Use it after a mistake, before a set piece, or any moment the game gets loud in your head. It takes about a minute; do it a few times to learn the shape.

Breathe with the circle:

Breathe in — four counts. Slow, through the nose. Fill up without forcing.

Hold — four counts. Still. Nothing to do here but wait.

Breathe out — four counts. Through the mouth, longer if you can. Let the shoulders drop.

Hold — four counts. Empty and still, then start again.

Four rounds is enough to feel it work. The point isn’t the counting — it’s that the breath gives your attention something simple to hold while the noise passes. Then: name what happened in one word, look up, next ball.

progression. begin with four counts; once four is comfortable, stretch the out-breath to six — a longer exhale calms you faster. the real progression is using it under pressure, not on the sofa: before a set piece, after a mistake, in the last ten minutes.

In the app, this is part of the reset you can reach before you play.
