This is the working plan, in the open. It’s a sequence, not a set of promises — things move when the families using the product tell us what’s true. No dates on purpose.

If something here matters to you — or something missing does — tell us.

now

What exists and is in use today.

  • The core loop. Goals on three horizons (lifetime, season, month), a routine on a calendar the athlete owns, reflection after sessions — text or voice, in the athlete’s own words.
  • The free routine library. Timed, safe-by-design routines — football, fitness, recovery, mental. Free, no account needed. Browse them.
  • The connected pod. A guardian and a coach, invited by the athlete, seeing only what the athlete shares. The coach places a weekly plan on the athlete’s calendar; before a 1:1, the athlete sends a summary of their week — written in their words, edited by them.
  • Your Google account as the database. Everything the athlete creates lives in their own Drive, Sheets, and Calendar — not on our servers. How that works.

next

What we’re building now or starting soon.

  • The charter inside the app. The agreement between athlete, guardian, and coach — read and accepted in the app itself, in your own language, promise by promise. Not terms of use. The app enforces what it says.
  • Coach tools. A coach working with several athletes: one place to plan the week for each, see what each has chosen to share, and publish routines under their own name.
  • More languages, end to end. English, Spanish and Swedish across the site and the app.

later

Directions we believe in, held until the product earns them.

  • Match video, athlete-first. The athlete tags their own moments — the pass they should have played earlier, the scan they missed — and shares a short reel with their coach, with their own read attached. The coach reviews minutes, not a full match.
  • Working with a coach far away. The plan, the reflections, and the video reel don’t care about geography. A committed family and the right coach shouldn’t have to share a city.
  • A small, vetted coach directory. Coaches who work this way — safeguarding-checked, with their published routines as proof of craft. Curated slowly, on purpose.

never

Not features we haven’t gotten to. Things we don’t build, at any scale, for any reason.

  • No streaks, badges, points, or levels.
  • No public rankings and no comparisons between athletes.
  • No searchable database of young players. Athletes tell their own story outward; nobody searches inward.
  • No selling data, and no athlete data shared with any partner or sponsor.
  • No ads. Brands can sponsor access for families — never reach athletes’ content.
  • No scores that follow a child around.
  • No product decisions that treat a young athlete as inventory.

If a future version of this page ever walks one of these back, hold us to this one.

The roadmap moves because people using the product say something. Write to hello@playing.football — a person reads it, usually the person building the thing. If you’d rather answer three short questions, there’s a form — it opens on Google’s site, and this site sets no cookies either way.
